The Toledo Walleye played a preseason game against the Kalamazoo Wings on Oct. 10. The Walleye won 3-0 at the Huntington Center, their home arena. The three starts of the game were Carter Gylander, Nate Roy, and Chad Hillebrand. Here is a breakdown of each period.
In the first period, Roy scored a goal, assisted by Dylan Moulton and Colby Ambrosio. Toledo made twelve shots on goal and Kalamazoo made three. Andre Ghantous from Kalamazoo got two minutes in the penalty box for roughing.
In the second period, Hillebrand scored a goal, assisted by Roy and Jed Pietila. Toledo made 10 shots on goal and Kalamazoo made nine.
In the third period, Brandon Hawkins scored a goal, assisted by Brendon Michaelian. Toledo made thirteen shots on goal and Kalamazoo made eight. Kylor Wall from Kalamazoo got two minutes in the penalty box for slashing. Moulton from Toledo got two minutes in the penalty box for hooking.
