Mason’s band and choir are holding many fundraisers this year to raise support from the community. The first successful fundraiser was a car wash held Sept. 27 at the Bedford farmer’s market.
Chili Cook-off
The Music Boosters are holding a Chili Cookoff during the Trunk or Treat at the high school Saturday, Oct. 25. The event will be from 5-7 p.m., with the cook-off in the cafetorium and the trunk or treat in the parking lot. The group is looking for judges as well. Judges get unlimited chili tastings and a voting ballot for The People’s Choice Award.
Upcoming Fundraisers
This year, the band and choir are putting on their usual seasonal concerts, but they will also be producing the annual Madrigal Dinner. Tickets will be sold in December and include dinner, performance and concert.
The program is also aiming to put on a spring musical for the first time. HS director Mr. Justin Johnson and elementary director Mrs. Christina Swaile are putting together some fundraisers to help with the cost of these productions.
